Same motherboard, similar result, except that there is a modified driver that will support the onboard LAN. However, it inexplicably drops the onboard NIC every other reboot, so I have a second 82574L on the way. Successfully able to pass through the six-port onboard SATA controller (four onboard, two eSATA) to a VM.
However, I am not able to successfully pass through a Silicon Image 3212 PCIe two-port SATA controller; after about two minutes or so it starts hanging and dropping data / the disks.

Re: Intel DQ67SW(B3)
The 82579 NIC will work with the driver found here:
I've never experienced a LAN dropout with this driver.
I've had terrible luck passing through SATA controllers. Sil3132, RR640, 88SE9128... all duds. I finally broke down and just bought an 8 port card on the HCL... it was cheaper than continuing to bang my head into a wall

Thanks for the post!
That motherboard works for me as well. Running ESXi 4.1. Added an approved NIC and everything is going well. I'm using an i5 2500 which seems to cope well
