Thunder K8QS Pro (S4882) - BIOS VERSION S4882-D EV1.11
4 X AMD OPTERON Dual Core 865
14 X 1 GB Kingston DDR PC2700 ECC
2 X 1 Gigabit BROADCOM BCM5704C
2 X Dual Intel Pro/1000 MT Gigabit Ethernet Server Adapter
DELL CERC Adaptec 2610sa (AAR2610SA) 6 port SATA RAID Controller
Dell PowerEdge PERC 3/DC RAID Controller 128MB 9M912

I have not tried the DELL PERC as the boot disk controller, but will test that this week. I will post my results later. The PERC originally did not post correctly, cleared the CMOS, lost 2 GB of memory (had 16 originally), but got the PERC card to work. Not an ESXi issue, but a TYAN issue.

Got ESXi to update from ESXi build 208167 to 261974 (4.0_update02).

Hopefully, these items will make it on the main list because I took a chance with the PERC 3 card, lost a few battles (RIP MEMORY), but won the war!

DELL CERC Adaptec 2610sa (AAR2610SA) 6 port SATA RAID Controller works very well for ESXi 4.1. Nothing additional needed to be installed. ESXi installed on it and currently running 7 guest on it.
