Hi all,
I get the ASUS board working except the onboard SATA & IDE controller (only SAS onboard & NIC working) in ESX4.1 environment.
Any possibilities to get all the system working in ESXi 4.1 with standard or custom oem.tgz?
The SATA & IDE onboard controller is NVIDIA nForce 2200 Professional.

This page http://www.vm-help.com/esx40i/Hardware_ ... php#nVidia will give you an idea of the nVidia controllers that ESXi can recognize. If your controller is close to one of these then it might work.

I don't know if some MCP based chipset driver is also useful for Nvidia Professional 2200.
In the Whitebox HCL hardware list you add also "Asus KFSN4-DRE/SAS" in orange but there's no link to the forum or some other site why?

I'm not sure why the link is missing. I usually mark a MB orange if some tweak is necessary or if one needed to add a NIC or storage controller. Check ultimatewhitebox.com - they may have an entry for the MB.
