I want to use the Cisco VEM with VMware ESXi.

I also has ESXi installed, can I replace the virtual ethernet module on a system with running VMs?
I have found several articles about installing the module but I never have found a link to download the installation file exempt the patches.

I think VEM is not free, there is only a possibility to evaluate? What happens, when this time ends? Must the Cisco VEM deinstalled or is only the functionality restricted?

To use the Nexus switch you would require ESXi to be licensed at the Enterprise Plus level and you would require vCenter server as well.
