 Generic WMware NIC
I've installed VMware ESX 3i 3.5 on an Optiplex 760 which has an Intel Gigabit NIC. I've then installed server 2003 but can't finish the install as the NIC isn't being recognised and when i attempt to install the driver i get a 'no intel nic found' error.
I've read that there a generic VMware nic that should be used instead. Is this so?

 Re: Generic WMware NIC
Got it.
Installing VMware tools installed the VMware PCI Ethernet Adapter.
