 Re: Customising ESXi 4?
I would like to thank ric.danger, I've used the oem.tgz he provided and used the provided script, modified it a little bit, and evertyhing is working now I am very happy with it, my testsystem is up and running now.... I'm running ESXi 4 on a Asus M2N-MX SE Plus mainboard, which is using a nVidia MCP61 chipset, everything is functional, ATA, SATA, Network, etc. . It saved me a lot of time figuring it out....

 Re: Customising ESXi 4?
Support for the driver for the 2940 was dropped in ESX(i) 4.0 - http://www.vm-help.com/esx40i/Hardware_ ... emoved.php.

 Re: Customising ESXi 4?
Thanks to Varazir, ricdanger and redhawk668. I patched the ESXi 4.0 with the script and oem.tgz given. It works now with my ASUS M2N-MX SE Plus. Little advise: don't forget to adapt the build number in the script

I just made so you can do it. If you any question for what driver or ID to add to the simple file please make a post in Install Problems and Questions forum. But if you have a oem.tgz file that supports your MB , I could help you. Rgd Daniel

 Re: Customising ESXi 4?
Hi.
I'm just installing ESXi 4.1 using the Varazir's script and is working very well. My question now is about vSphere 4.1. My MCP61 is not supported and I would like to know if I can use the same script. I tried, but the ISO file is deleted just after the script started.
Thanks !!!

 Re: Customising ESXi 4?
How do you mean ISO is deleted ?? I don't delete any file except if you are running the script again and the final iso file has the same name as the one you just made. But then you get a question if you like to delete the old file. This doesn't happen until late in the script.
