Onboard NIC works as well and VMDirectPath is supported

I'm using this host with another shuttle host (SH67H3) and no issues with vMotion

How did you do the install on ESXi5.

I have a shuttle sz68r5
1 x ssd
2 x 1TB
32 gig ram
etc etc

I have tried to set up drives in raid and that has not worked.

I got esxi to install with no issues but when I go to install windows 2008 r2 x64 sp1 if askes for achi drivers or raid drivers>

How did you get around that>

Oh, I'm not using local storage. I boot from USB key, and my storage is via iscsi from an Iomega nas

I'd assume the MB has an Intel based software RAID controller. If that's the case then ESXi won't provide the necessary software part to support RAID you'll only get individual disks.

If you can get ESXi to see the controller / disks, you should not need any specific device drivers within the VM.
