 VT-d in Intel CPU
Hello.
There is no VT-d supported CPU list page at Intel site. I wonder that whether all CPU with VT-x support is ready for DirectPath I/O. Or, is there a list for VT-d supported CPU?
Thanks.

 Re: VT-d in Intel CPU
VT-x is a seperate feature from VT-d. When first implemented, VT-d was a chipset feature, but it is now implemented at the CPU level. You can check a specific CPU at ark.intel.com to see if the option is available for a specific CPU.
That said, you also have to check the BIOS of a MB that you're considering as the option has to be enabled at the BIOS level. Depending on what you plan to do with DirectPath you may consider a server class MB as those seem to have greater success than desktop class MBs.
