Hi.

Finally got a Centos 5.7, ESXi 5.0 gpl drivers source code and the original code for ESXi 4.0 / 4.1 (http://www.kernelcrash.com/blog/wp-cont ... .02.tar.gz)

Update build script to use paths / libraries on ESXi 5.0, build and working. Tested only as management network on a Asus P5B Premium motherboard.

PCi ids covered:
11ab:4320 Marvell Technologies, Inc. 88E8001 PCI-E Gigabit Ehternet Controller

Just upload it to your bootbank and add the --- net-skge.v00 -- on boot.cfg

Its a bit big on size (debug) so, maybe ill recompile another / release.

Testing this on a ESXi computer with a A8V Deluxe mainboard. Gimmie a few days.

I had to add skge in ESXi 4.0, to install that. So it should work in 5.0. Will let you know.

Fail.

Not the driver's fault. I don't have a LAHF and SAHF CPU, it seems.

I am trying to add the 1148:4320 card to this driver, which is a AT-2916T card with the 88e8001 chip.

But when I try to extract the driver to change the drivers map file, I keep getting "invalid tar magic" errors.

Any idea what could cause this?

I checked in the logs and I can see the driver being loaded and I can find its files in the correct locations (and can vi the skge map file, but its read only)
So it appears to work correctly, I just can't extract it to add extra mappings.

hi Astharoth,

please tell me, how to convert (?) your "net-skge.v00" file to a *.vib?
because ESXi-Customizer-v2.7 can add only *.vib files.

Thnx

If you can extract the files from v00 you can build a vib with this - http://www.yellow-bricks.com/2011/11/29 ... vib-files/

mr_zorg, any luck converting the .v00 file to a .vib? If so, would you mind uploading your .vib so I can use/test it?
