porting RHEL6 KVM/QEMU based system to run under ESXi
Im looking to port and existing RHEL6 KVM/QEMU based system to run under ESXi hypervision control. The current system contains approx 25 VM running on several subnets using TUN/TAP bridging between the VMs. These VMs use qemu created images ranging in size from 1 to 150GB. Just wondering what options are available for porting without needing to revise the current scripting for setting up all the network interfaces and VM images ? Perhaps create an ESXi VM for each corresponding KVM with the issue of importing or converting the qemu created VM image into the ESXi VM datastore. ESXi can import iso images but does not recognize qemu img file so a conversion would probably be required ?
