ECS A880GM-M6
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-text-_-

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T

I got install errors and when I google'd it it seems to be my on board nic is the problem, so i'm going to switch it to a Intel Pro/1000GT Desktop adapter tonight. I just want to know if my hardware is compatible.

Also, i'm new with ESXI, whats the difference with ESXI and vSphere Hypervisor? Is ESXI free or am i stuck with 60 trial?

If you got a vmfs3 error then it was likely NIC related as you've found.

The install media for ESXi free (vSphere Hypervisor) and ESXi paid is the same. The only difference is the license key. All ESXi installs (well besides scripted) default to a 60 day eval. You can then apply your ESXi free license code to get a permanently licensed host.

You can also change the license from ESXi free to one of the paid editions down the road without needing a reinstall.
