Thanks for posting this. Have you had a chance to load test this with a tool like iperf?

Re: 3COM test driver for ESX 4.1
Hi,
Thanks for the 3Com driver. I am successfully using it with my 3Com Corporation 3C905B Fast Etherlink XL 10/100 PCI Card and is recognized in the VMWare ESXi 4.1.0, 348481

Re: 3COM test driver for ESX 4.1
You'll want to rename it to oem.tgz. If you need the driver during the install then follow this process - viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4. Otherwise, following this process 1) Enable Tech Support Mode (SSH) - Configuration > Security Profiles 2) Connect with an SCP client like WinSCP. 3) Copy the file (as oem.tgz) to /bootbank and /altbootbank 4) reboot.

Mr. massoo
Thank you very much for the action reporting. This test driver is using kernel version 2.6.14.1, and the source is not corrected at all.
Only what is supported with ESXi 3.5 is added though there are a lot of adaptors supported by the driver.

Re: 3COM test driver for ESX 4.1
Hi there,
I haven't been able to get this working in ESXi 5.0... Has anyone managed to get the 3C905B nic working in ESXi 5.0?
Many thanks,

Many thanks, The driver would need to be compiled specifically for ESXi 5.
