 ESXi 4.1 Update 1 stops at 15% on Dell Optiplex 745 I have tried to install ESXi 4.1 Update 1 on my Optiplex 745, and it stops at 15%. It complains about being unable to write to the hard drive. I have tried multiple hard drives, tried legacy mode & normal mode, but no luck.
Is there something I am missing?

It happens with multiple drives that I have tried.

IDE interface Mass Storage Controller: Intel Corporation
8086:2820
and a second instance of 8086:2825
I checked the list and both are on it.
Now what?

- are you running the latest BIOS?
- have you checked the md5sum from your ISO download?
- have you tried ESXi 4.0 (you can later upgrade to 4.1).
