ESXI 4.1 successfully install, but guest OS has problem with
Hi Everyone,
I am new with vmware. i am not able to install Guest OS through PXE and giving me the error that Network driver not found in the image that you are using to install. I tried to install Win 7 and Win 2008 STD as guest OS.
I have following configuration:
MB: ASUS M4A88TD-M CPU: AMD Athlon II x4 640 RAM: 4GB 1333 NIC: Intel Proo 1000 GT Desktop Adapter.
I am not sure which driver it is asking for?
Can anybody help me out from this stuck?
Thanks Raha

Re: ESXI 4.1 successfully install, but guest OS has problem
What sort of process are you using to PXE install the guest OSes? Is it something like this? Do you have the guests setup with the e1000 virtual NIC? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libr ... 4541(WS.10).aspx

Re: ESXI 4.1 successfully install, but guest OS has problem
Thanks Dave,
I have install ESXi 4.1 and Vsphere client. From client i am trying to install server 2008 STD edition. I have physical server acting as DC and WDS and i already add image for 2008 server in WDS. So when i power on virtual machine on vsphere client it take the image from WDS and later gives error that no network driver found in the image that you are installing. i also inject network driver for intel pro 1000 in that image.
But let me have a look that you told me about guest setup with e1000 virtual NIC.
Once again thanks Dave for reply and i will let you know.
