Post How to enable ssh
Hello,
I found articule where is information how to enable ssh but when I do alt+F1 I cannot write nothing. Can You tell me how can I get access to console and enable ssh?

Are you using ESXi 4.1? If so in the DCUI go to the troubleshooting menu and then enable either local or remote tech support mode. If you set the timeout to 0 the change will remain enabled until you reboot.

You can then press ALT+F1 and you'll get a a login prompte or connect with a SSH client.

When I want to use ALT+F1 i go to console but I cannot write anything. I have to gho to this mode when server is rebooting? ESXi 3.5.

With 3.5 you type in "unsupported" and then press Enter. You won't see text feedback as you type the word, but if it is entered correctly you'll get the login prompted after you press enter.

And it's "unsupported" without the quotes.

Hello,
OK, I used unsupported and I got access to CLI. I check inetd.conf file and ssh is uncheck # so ssh should be work but when I try to use putty that I got there is not possible to connect to server server refuse connection or sth like this. When I use telnet on port 22 than I see that is working. Maybe I have to change something in my putty?
