Post PowerEdge 750 with cerc
I get the ESXi installed up and running but when i write an image to the system using the standalone converted the raid volume fails
the server start a peeping noise and log say raid fails

When i reboot rebuild the raid array reinstall it looks good but after i use the converto to get my image on it starts again

Used a other Poweredge 750 with same config CERC with two drive
same problem

So i remove the cerc card and wanted to use onboard SATA controller
I see the drive in the bios i can install windows XP on it but Exsi say no drives found

What is the next step to try??

During the install access the console by pressing ALT+F1. Login with root (no password). Do you see the disks if you run fdisk -l? If so you might have to use an IDE install hack. Otherwise you may have a driver issue. In that case can you post the model and PCI id for the controller? http://www.vm-help.com/esx40i/find_PCI_ID.php
