Post esxi 3.5 + D-Link PCI DFE-580TX Quad NIC 10/100 (Sundance)
Hello,

I would like to ask some help from the community. I have an esxi 3.5 u5 installed and I have to use my D-Link DFE-580TX Quad NIC card with it. Unfortunately, the card has been detected as unknown by the esxi. I tried to make a custom oem.tgz, but with no luck so far....

It is interesting, that I simply not able to find any information on this NIC via the forum or google itself ...

Please help, advices are welcomed :-)

I have the linux source of the driver, so how can I get it working? I have also tried using the e100 driver with the help from: http://vm-help.com/esx/esx3i/customize_oem_tgz.php .

Thank you,

I haven't seen a driver listed for dlink cards so you may want to check with Dlink to see if that have developed one, or look at compiling one yourself - http://www.kernelcrash.com/blog/using-a ... 009/08/22/.

If you plan to put a heavy load on the 4 ports I would suggest going with something that is supported.
