Post Success: NEC uPD720200A USB 3.0 in Acer Veriton M490
This USB 3.0 card was purchased from Lindy (part # 51122) and has the NEC/Renesas uPD720200A chipset.

ESXi 5.0 on an Acer Veriton M490 used for testing. Had to enable VT-d in BIOS as it is disabled by default.

Firmware upgraded to 4015, running driver 2.1.28.1. Guest VM is Windows 2003R2 32 bit with SP1.

Had to set pciPassthru0.msiEnabled to FALSE in the VM properties, then reboot ESXi to get it working. Without this set the device would get a yellow bang in Device Manager.

Didn't need to hook up internal power connection for use with a single Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex drive.

Getting ~83MB/sec read speeds from this drive in ATTO Disk Benchmark tool within VM. 8-)
