Hi guys, I've got a HP N40L Microserver running ESXi 5.0, so far it's been absolutely amazing.
The problem I face is that I need to add another few SATA ports to be able to fully populate it as a file server; I bought a 4 port SATA card from ebay and it uses the Marvell 88SX7042 chipset, I've searched around the net to find a definitive answer on how to enable support for this card in ESXi, many people have posted different solutions on adding driver support for unsupported devices, I'm not sure which path to take.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm fairly clueless when it comes to adding driver support to ESXi.
Cheers, Kane.

Re: Marvell 88SX7042 - Unsupported Hardware
Do you know which driver this controller would use with a Linux install? That might get you pointed in the right direction.
