 VMWare ESXi (4/5) on IBM x255 8685
Hi guys.
I bought an older IBM x255 server and I want him to run ESXi server. I installed ESXi 5 several times on different machines, but here I am not able to do it. Neither version 4 did not work. Only installation of version 3.5, but it is already quite old.
Server boots from the CD, packages expands and when to begin the installation dialog after unpacking the last package, it stops on a blank screen with only cursor. No error message, nothing. I put out of him the disk controller, disks, and LAN cards, but it behaves the same way.
Please advice how to do it.
2 x Xeon MP 1.9, 4Gb RAM, SCSI 6x36G. It is a shame not to use it.
sorry for my english. It is not my language.

Your English is just fine. I beleive the Xeon MP 1.9 is a 32 bit processor. ESXi 4 and higher requires a 64 bit CPU.
