Post Supermicro C2SBA not enabling VMDirectPath
Hi,

I have a 4.1 installation, ive enabled both vt-d and vt-x in my bios.
I have a intel q8400.
Im on the latest BIOS.

Does anyone know how I can get the VMDirectPath working, as its currently saying the host doesnt support it?

cheers

Are you running the latest BIOS for the MB? In general you just enable it in the BIOS and boot ESXi (no need to configure ESXi or re-install).

The below is a bit old, but it suggests a problem with the VT-d implemenation on the MB. Have you checked with Supermicro support?

I had a similar problem a few years back with an Intel MB. While the BIOS exposed a VT-d option, it wasn't really implemented so I couldn't get it to work.
