Install Fails on AMD - works on Intel
Does anyone know why exactly a whitebox install of Cisco Callmanager fails on an AMD cpu but works on an Intel CPU?
What bothers me the most is that moving/migrating a working VM install from an Intel to an AMD host DOES succeed, so it's just the install that fails.
the AMD is an AM3 socket quad core Phenom Black edition (965) so it has VT support. The motherboard is an Asus M4A88TDV-EVO
Im guessing it has something to do with Callmanager not liking something during install (maybe a CPU check, looking for an intel?) but I thought using VMware as an abstraction layer bypassess such issues between the guest OS and hardware
Thanks for any input, and any ideas on how to be able to install directly on an AMD host !
