Post VCLI command for ESX4

We are trying to automate the installation of our product on VM.
i found most of the commands via vcli which will enable me to power on power off, take snapshot etc.

But could not find a way to get the iso file on the cd rom.

For previous versions we used setconfig command

vmware-cmd .... setconfig ide0:0.filename ../../...iso

This command is not working in esx 4.
Please suggest an alternate way for doing so.

A similar requirement is ter for floppy. Would that be possible

Have you taken a look at the sample apps that come with the vCLI?
On my PC they're located in these paths -
C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware vSphere CLI\Perl\apps\vm
C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware vSphere CLI\Perl\samples\vm

PowerCLI could also handle the CD change, but that would require porting your script over.

If you don't find a sample vCLI script that can do this, post something in the vCLI forum on VMware's site. William Lam (forum user lamw) does a fair bit with the vCLI and vSphere API and may be able to point you to another script that could leverage the API to make the change you want.
