Trouble Loading up Centos5.1 32bit in ESXi host server
Hi All,
I have been install windows O/S and load up successfully, According to setup Centos 5.1 32bit, i believe i have correct configuration setting in CentosVM. Install Centos 5.1 was succesfully, but until a reboot required after the setup finish, the screen is blank and i wait and wait, thought the system slow but i still can load up other window vm. does anyone have this issue before?
My hardware system setup: i7 920 (VT and Hyperthread enable in Bios) Mobo - asus p6t deluxe Ram - 12gb ddr3 nic - intel pro1000 Raid - adaptec 2410sa
Thanks in advance, sg

Thanks in advance, sg Did you install desktop environment? Maybe bump video memory to 16M and see if it works?

Re: Trouble Loading up Centos5.1 32bit in ESXi host server
Hi, thought i would provide more detail of what i have notice, revise my question This is work for me now: During setup Centos VM, i require to partition my drive, i have select default partition setting which is "Remove linux partition on selected drive and create default layout" after all installation finish and reboot, if work fine
But when i choose to "create custom layout" (which i have done this before i select default partition).
Please correct me if i am wrong, but i believe there shouldn't be any problem.
1.i create 100MB for the /BOOT partition (force to be primary) 2.i create xxxxMB for the /SWAP partition 3.fill up all space for the / partition (to be logical)
Does this layout correct? Thanks you for your help, appreciated. sg
