i setup a new esx 4.1 host. now i want to my old vm stored on a sata disk to the new esx that i had installed. the vm are large files so the network option is not in the picture.

i tried to use an external hdd enclosure and connect the hdd to the host but it cant be detected.

i tried install the hdd inside the host, on my vdshere client i cant see the additional hdd I install, but how can i copy over the data to my data store?

How have you made out with this?
