 SOLVED: Unidentified Network on ESXi 4.1 guests I managed to install my Esxi 4.1.
I can access it via the client, and I have also managed to create the first guest (W732Bit)
However, I have a network problem, where my guests do not get a Valid IP, and thus, i can not really work with them.
- I do not have any Vlans on the network
- All is connected with simple switches.
- I use Realtek 8168
I will appreciate your help.

Re: Unidentified Network on ESXi 4.1 guests What virtual NIC type are you using in the VM. I recall some cases in which changing that helped.

and VMXNET3
the same result.

Re: Unidentified Network on ESXi 4.1 guests Replace it and reboot. I would also take a config backup (with vicfg-cfgbackup from the vCLI).
