Post subject:  Dell 740 esxi4.0 Fatal: out of memory reading sys.vgz

When i install 4.0 on Dell Optiplex 740, i got that message, the installation stopped, then pc restart. The met the message again...

Any body have some ideas? Thank you!

How much memory does the host have?

total 1G*4=4G

Have you checked the md5sum of the downloaded ISO?

yes, it correct.

And it can be install successful on the vmware on the same machine, but only can't in physics machine. It's so strange.

Have you tried running it from a USB flash drive?

No, i just have one cd. I will have a try if i can got a usb device.

You might also try updating the BIOS for the host.

my bios version is 2.1.8

Upgrade to latest BIOS 2.2.2, the same problem.

Degrade to 1.0.5, everything works fine:}

So it's BIOS probem.
