Hi !

Well, in French it worked without any problems ! :D great script !

Is it possible to customize an ESX with your script ? I tried but didn't work...

Good it worked in French,

No the script is only for ESXi, as VMware is not going to continue with ESX I don't see a point to make a script for it.

I've installed ESX4i to a USB drive and am booting from the USB drive.

I've been able to get past the network card issue using your solution but how do I make it permanent? Once I reboot the network card is no longer recognized again and I have to do the steps again.

How do I use the files in the oem.tgz file to modify my install on the USB drive?
His scripts are for making new installation material and I've already got it installed. I just need my installation to recognize the controller and drives on the Z400.

thanks in advance

You'll want to download the oem file from the 2nd post and integrate it into the install ISO image using Varazir's script.

This script and forum also helped me out - all I had to add was export the http_proxy environment variable. Otherwise it always stopped at the first package that was not found locally.
export http_proxy=http://username:password@proxyserver.net:port/
Line 150: som -> some ;-)
