I want to install esx4.0 with P5KPL-AM EPU via a CD
but when I try to install, it says it can not install without NICs
I know it has onboard NIC RTL8131

What should I do?

Thanks,
Kevin

ESXi has to be able to recognize a NIC during the install process. Take a look at Varazir's scripts in the customizing OEM.tgz forum to create a custom install image. Then get the realtek drivers from the oem.tgz page (look on the home page).

Is that means I can use the script to create a bootable driver (like usb) and boot from it to install esxi 4.0?
And can it also work on esx 4.0?

thx

You can use the script to create a new bootable ISO image or install from USB flash drive image.

ESX uses a different method for drivers.
