Post Asus P7F-M
Asus P7F-M motherboard BIOS 0703
Built-in 2 x Intel 82574L 1GB LAN
Built-in Intel 3420 SATA (6 ports)
Supports Intel VT and VT-d
Software-only RAID, so I assume not available w/ ESXi
Intel Xeon X3430 2.4 GHz CPU (Quad-core, no HT)
8GB ECC RAM (2 x KVR1333D3E9S/4G)
ESXi 4.1.1

Everything worked out of the box, except that I do not have the IPMI module, so I had to edit /etc/vmware/init/init.d/72.ipmi to return success.

Running VMs with Ubuntu 64-bit, XP, Win7x86, Win2K8R2.

Successfully used VT-d to assign USB controller to XP VM to connect Logitech Orbit cam.

Were you getting any sort of IPMI error?

Hi Dave,

It's not an error per se, but the boot hangs for 2 minutes at the "loading ipmi_si_drv" stage.
