Just wanted to submit that after a lot of frustration, I finally got ESXi 4.1 to install and run on my EVGA Classified SR-2 270-WS-W555-A2 System. I installed a VM windows server 2008 R2 and made it my domain controller so I'm on my way to getting my work lab set up. feels real good to finally get things working so I can learn all about exchange 2010 and administering a domain. As an aside i don't know if it helped out with finally getting ESXi to install or not but I put win server 2008 R2 on the disk then rebooted and Installed ESXi over it.

1) I had to disable both the on board nics
2) replaced them with Intel EXPI9301CTBLK 10/ 100/ 1000Mbps PCI-Express Network Adapter
3) figured out that you can't use the red sata connectors on the MB, just have to use the black ones for ESXi to see the drives
4) after 11ty billion tries at installing ESXi it finally worked after the first three steps. was very frustrating after spending $3000 on computer parts.

My set up:

Nice. Do you have any plans to try ESXi 5 on it some time soon?

If not, I can give it a shot with mine in a few weeks.
