My reasoning for making separate posts of the addin cards, is that these cards are "universal", and not simply for that one whitebox. These cards can be used by other users as well.

I have tried to add the Intel Pro/1000 PT quad port card and I can not get it to work. There seems to be some debate on the dual vs quad port working.

I have updated the drivers but nothing. It sounds like the Pro/1000 VT that dell used works. and depending on the intel chip version 25xxx something already has inbox support where the newer PT cards require the software.

I am going to try to find a Pro/1000 PT dual port card to see if it works.

I just bought an Intel PRO/1000PT Dual PCIe (I believe it's technically the Dell X3959). When it gets here (hopefully in a week) I'll cross my fingers and see if it works. If not, I guess I wasted my money and should've gone for two single port NICs. :lol:
