Our Datacenter testmachine consists of:

- SuperMicro PDSMi+ MB
- Intel® E7230 (Mukilteo) Chipset
- Socket 775 - Intel Core2Duo 6600 currently in use - will be replaced by Xeon 3230/3240
- 1x Intel® 82573L PCI-e Gigabit LAN - 1x Intel® 82573V PCI-e Gigabit LAN - both working fine
- 3Ware 9690SA SAS Raid controller - 4port
- Intel VT supported
- 8GB DDR2 installed

ESXi 4.1 build 260247 in place.
The installation of ESXi was done on a USB stick we put inside the machine.
The VMWare VMFS Storage is done on a Raid 10 array on the 3Ware controller after installing the drivers. We followed this guide to do so:
