How is the 620 quad working with no L3 cache..
Have you had a chance to load the processor down with vmservers and see any performance hits..

I'm a fan of the 620 but have not had a chance to see how it works for virtualization..

Thanks

Jim

Webbie, could you confirm that you have the SB710 chipset as your storage controller?

I bought the Asus M4A785TD-V and got disappointed when the Realtek network chip wasn't compatible. Now I'm worried more stuff won't work out.

Realtek NIC's are budget one, so didn't work, if you try with Intel PRO/1000 GT works fine, and isn't so expensive (only 30€ for bulk one).

Krupz, I did just that and it work perfectly. I had no problems with the rest of the HW either.

Though, I soon realized that USB passthrough isn't supported so it was a no-go for me in the end. :(

My Spec:-
ASUS M4A785-M
Intel 1000 GT PCI card
4 x 4GB DDR2-800
Setup the SATA to ACHI
Nvidia 7300 256MB VGA (I need more ram on the main memory, that's why)
WD VelociRaptor 300GB, 10K rpm, 16MB, SATA

On the motherboard, I disabled USB, NIC, Audio, COM, LPT, etc
When I install the ESX 4.0, I have to disable the USB, otherwise, it hangs on the installation.

After install, everything seems to work fine but on the main screen. It shows whatever no heartbit (whatever in red). Do you know anyting about it?
