I'm trying to install ESXi 4.1 on a Hp Pavilion p6390a, naturally it contains unsupported hardware.
right now I'm trying to get past the 'vmkctl.hostCtlExecption : Unable to load module /usr/lib/vmware/vmkmod/vmfs3 : Failure' error which I believe to be caused by an unsupported network card.
I have downloaded 'The Script' as well as a premade oem.tgz and placed said file in the custom-esx folder but when I run the script and choose installation from ISO I get an error saying 'No OEM file... Exiting'
I did try and search the forums for this error but the search function dosen't seem to have an exact phrase option and a lot of posts contain the words 'no', 'OEM', 'file' and 'exiting'.
If anyone can shed some light on this I'd be very grateful.

Re: Problem with using a custom oem.tgz
You need to have a oem.tgz file in the root folder of the script.
