 Drivers for atl1e NIC
Hello,
Here is the driver for Atheros / Attansic atl1e Ethernet Adapter [1969:1026] (can be found on some models of ASUS P5Q mb).
Attached tgz was maid on the basis of mymod-network.new2.tgz & SSH_FTP_oem_1.3.tgz (thanks for contributors!). Worked with VMware-VMvisor-Installer-4.0.0.Update01-208167.x86_64.iso.
NB: not tested on heavy loaded networks, will be great if someone will be able to run performance tests and post the results.
Regards, Serge

 Re: Dreivers for atl1e NIC
Thanks for posting this. If you want to generate some network traffic you might want to take a look at iperf. viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1604&hilit=iperf

 Re: Drivers for atl1e NIC
Is it Ok for sources integrated into vmkdrivers (7.13 Mb) or you need only atl1e sources?

The maximum attachment size is 2 MB but if you want to attach something bigger just send me a PM.

 Re: Drivers for atl1e NIC
In attached zip only atl1e driver sources can be found. You need to put them into vmkdrivers environment.

Thank you! From which kernel tree are the sources? To all: Please, include the original version number to compare modifications! To Dave.Mishchenko: It's possible to create a custom repository for all open drivers? Just sources and binaries!

 Re: Drivers for atl1e NIC
I have used sources from the attached tar.gz found somewhere in the net, not from the kernel tree.

Serge, that ftp upload you sent is now here - www.vm-help.com/downloads/vmkdrivers-atl1e.tar.bz2Quote: To Dave.Mishchenko: It's possible to create a custom repository for all open drivers? Just sources and binaries! Would a list of downloads like appears on this page be OK - http://www.vm-help.com/esx40i/customize_oem_tgz.php

 Re: Drivers for atl1e NIC
Regarding the repository, may be it's reasonable to create an SVN and join all sources in it? And put all other things usable for oem package (like wget) to the rep also? And connect the build system for this SVN to the "Linux:Bash script to create a custom installation ESXi4"?
