Post help for adding 2 PCI NIC
Hi,

i wanted to install ESXi 3.5 for home purpose on this :

motherboard : ECS Geforce6100pm-m2 v2.0
SATA chipset : MCP61P
Onboard nic : MCP61P (PCI ID : 10de:03ef (rev a2) )
PCI Nic 1 : SMC smc1255tx-05 ( PCI ID : 1113:1216 (rev 11) )
PCI Nic 2 : D-Link DFE-530TX rev a ( PCI ID : 1106:3065 (rev 43) )

I used this oem.tgz file http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H4AJSHC9 wich work for installing ESXi 3.5 for the sata chipset and onboard NIC.

Unfortunately, the 2 PCI Nic are'nt detected by ESXi. I've searched in both simple.map and pci.ids but did'nt find anything related to. Even in the unified oem.tgz.

I've done several research for including driver for the SATA chipset and onboard nic but it remain out of my knowledge for being able to modify the oem.tgz to include the 2 other PCI Nic.

That's here i'm asking for some help.

Could you help me including driver for these 2 PCI Nic ?

Thanks

I don't think a driver exists for either NIC model. I'd suggest adding something like an Intel Pro 1000 GT.
